The hotel is located close to points of interest, most within walking distance. The staff very helpful and courteous. We especially would like to point out Alvaro at the Front Desk, who went out of his way to make our stay pleasurable. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of foods and it was always plentiful. The on site parking was a welcomed asset.

Cite de l'Ocean was an amazing VR experience, we had a joint ticket with the Aquarium which was also good. You could easily spend half a day at Cite de l'Ocean. Biarritz has some grand buildings and would have great views on a sunnier day. The view from the lighthouse is stunning, so worth the climb. We enjoyed the Musee Asiatique, everywhere we visited catered well for British visitors. Buses were easy to use, we found lots of great Basque restaurants.

Views are stunning from the many cliffs on the ocean front. The beach is extremely well located right across the city center, where many surfers enjoy the big ocean waves.
Beautiful shopping opportunities, in particular, local French-Basque food and regional products.

Biarritz has long enjoyed a reputation for glamour and monied high-class living. Many of the shops certainly cater for this sort of visitor, but there were plenty of what might be termed 'ordinary' tourists, who could enjoy the stunning vistas and beautiful locations along the coast. Don't miss the Port Des Pecheurs.
It is very easy to achieve a day trip to San Jean De Luz by using the (exceptionally cheap and easy to use) local bus service (Txik Txak) that operates in the region.
The town never felt overrun, nor underused. The beaches are very clean and well managed. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, with prices for every pocket.
Also, the footprint of Biarritz is pretty compact so that those without mobility issues are able to explore and spend time in the well-ordered shopping locations, the public gardens and the cafes and restaurants.
A special mention for the beautifully turned out (covered) market: well worth a visit and a stop for coffee, pastries or crepes.
Finally, the ocean creates great conditions for surfing, an activity clearly enjoyed by the locals as well as visitors.

Biarritz is a beautiful town with so much to see.
Biarritz is a beautiful town with so much to see. A perfect mix of incredible nature and city. Walking paths along the cliffs by the beach provided some exercise and exceptional views. Never ending pastry shops, cafes, bars were appealed to the culinary senses.
– A wonderfully modern two-floor house in a very central location in Biarritz
– Great showers
– Modern kitchen with all the appliances you could want (if you can't find the cutlery, it's because you open one of the drawers and then have to pull open the slightly hidden drawer at the top)
– Washer/dryer comes in handy if you get things dirty on the beach
– Friendly and welcoming owners who run the hotel opposite the property and are therefore on hand should there be any problems
Amazing hostel! If you are looking to discover Biarritz and learn how to surf, or enjoy all the beaches just the same, this is the place for you! The hostel is kept in pristine condition and is strategically designed for the comfort of guests. Female owned and operated, both owners are very attentive and helpful and can book you surf lessons in no time! I wish I could have stayed longer but I’ll definitely be back! Merci les filles et à bientôt? 😉
Accomodations in Biarritz are overall quite expensive. This hotel is a good compromise. Located in a very nice and central spot, just next to the town center, and a few minutes walk away from the beaches. We found it not so difficult to find a spot to park the car in the surroundings, and a covered parking is located just nearby. Our room was tiny but clean and confortable. Very friendly and helpful welcome/reception.
Location was great, a couple of minutes walk from the sea front in the old port area of Biarritz. Very close to lots of great restaurants and bars. Our room was at the back of the hotel and was very quiet (cannot say what street side rooms are like). The air conditioning was good (essential when it was so warm) and we generally had the window closed which contributed to the quietness of the room.
Great location if visiting Biarritz or the Pays Basque. The hotel is within a very short distance from the beach and is very central to shopping areas .There is an excellent restaurant ,Chez Eugenie ,attached to the hotel - food was delicious !
The breakfast in the hotel was also very good and staff were courteous and friendly.
Would recommend - perhaps with a bigger room next time !
Absolutely perfect location, just across the road from the beautiful Port Vieux beach and walking distance to everywhere of interest. Plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby, including the restaurant and bar attached to the hotel itself. The room was very bright and comfy, overlooking the sea, and with the windows closed there was no noise from the outside. Would absolutely stay here again!
When we arrived we were met by a wonderful welcome, The students and their professor reall made us feel at home. All of the staff in the restaurant, cafe and bar were excellent and very professional. The quality of all the meals and drinks were superb. The standards were akin to a 5 star hotel and restaurant. Thank you so much and we will definitely reccommend this hotel to all our friends.
Quite far from station ! It’s quite a walk if on foot and not much other accessible transport … however it’s the same fir most of the other hotels , so one needs own car or a taxi etc ( also, too msny steep hills so not for everyone … Biarritz is very spread out and not a very compact place to get around …
• The hotel is located quite in the center of Biarritz. You can easily walk to the beach
• The room (a triple one) was clean and the beds were comfortable
• The staff was nice and helpful
• The hotel has a parking in front of it (15€/day)
Loved this place - easy reach of all of Biarritz. A charming hotel - perhaps not suited to families or business travellers. Reminded me of those TV shows showing glamourous boutique hotels of yesteryear. But modern facilities.
The hotel is in a good location, close to the shops, beach, and the Biarritz aquarium.
The breakfast is quite ok, not too many options for my liking but Overwall is ok.
Location in the center of Biarritz, walking distance to everything at the city center. Breakfast was really rich in healthy and protein options and the staff was amazing
Perfectly situated in the heart of Biarritz. The hotel, rooms and restaurants are tastefully design, the staff beautiful and we loved staying at Hotel Siluhette!
