Le Lavandou is a beautiful town. We stayed here because we were attending a wedding. We were so glad we did, as the whole place is charming, easy to get around and has plenty of restaurants, shops and services to make our stay really lovely. We will come back in the future as it really is an amazing place.

Good sized sea front town.
Good sized sea front town. Good access to main areas of town and parking. When we were there it was just end of season and not too busy. Also we had fantastic weather. More to do than we had time for, would like to come back and explore the area a bit more.

Just a perfect French atmosphere.
Just a perfect French atmosphere. Bar Central is the hub of the town next to the Espandon hotel. Promenading along the beach is essential. Lots of restaurants and pretty shops. I recommend Bo the Thai restaurant in the shopping area as a great place to eat and be seen.

We liked the calm and the friendliness of everyone we met.
We liked the calm and the friendliness of everyone we met. The town is a delight as it is comparatively unspoilt and the beaches all along that part of the coast are sandy and well maintained. We ate local produce in lots of good restaurants at reasonable prices but also bought delicious things at the market and picnicked on the beach. We did it all by public transport and found the 7801 bus service excellent: €3 each, wherever we wanted to go, so €3 for a short hop but also €3 to go all the way from Toulon to St Tropez (the driver is happy if you can produce the exact money). We also made a lot of use of the old coastal railway line which is now a cycle path and footpath so avoids having to walk on the main road. We had great walks at Bormes and Cavaliere, very well marked, up into the hills but be careful to check the Var government website for the fire risk. We were lucky to have a wet day so safe walking afterwards.

I liked the promenade with palm trees , seats and a wide selection of restaurants. The tourist information staff were very friendly and helpful . It was situated straight down the narrow alleys about 400 yards from the main road and the side road to Le Petit Boheme.
The wide sandy beach had many people sunbathing and swimming at 19.00 in the evening in early September.
In heart of Le Lavandou, beautiful area, close to beach, supermarket, boulangerie, restaurants, shops. Free big parking (P. du Marche) at 8 min by foot. Only for 2, too small if you have a kid. Keep in mind that the bedroom is separated only by a curtain and the bathroom have only a sliding glass door and is not closed up to the ceiling - is quite typical in small studios like this, for us was no problem. Being in center is noisy in the morning from delivery and cleaning trucks.
We decided to stay 1 night before we flew out of the Country. We have 3 kids and the hotel was able to accommodate a room neighboring ours. The rooms were comfy and even had a little enclosed balcony with a table and chairs. The location is excellent with a quick walk to the beach. The breakfast was typical Parisian style. Everything was delicious and they have a lovely patio to sit out on. We wished we could have stayed longer.
it is like a home from home. Beautifully quiet location yet two minutes walk from the centre of town, very clean. fantastic sea view across the whole bay. lovely shady garden where you can sit all day if you want to, very friendly,y staff who will make you feel very welcome. even a choice of mobile phone chargers in reception. Rooms harmonious and hotel feels spacious and calm.
Friendly and helpful service. My wife was on crutches from a recent operation when we arrived and we were changed from a room on the top floor to a ground floor room. Everything, from our room and bathroom to the public areas, were spotlessly clean. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. If we return to Le Lavandou again we will definitely be booking our rooms at Le Rabelais.
location, right on beach. Right across the road is a walking/ bike track right into Le lavandou and beyond. Good meals at hotel. Plenty of parking at hotel or in public parking right adjacent hotel. Le Lavandou has more meal/dining options, but is more crowded and more exposed to wind. At Cavaliere it is more sheltered, ocean calmer.
The hotel was extremely close to a beach that I visited a year earlier and really liked. (plage de Saint Clair Lavandou). Literally a 2 minute walk. Hotel had private parking and was very well maintained. The owner was very friendly and had met me and my mom in the lobby during check in.
The hotel location is wonderful, a few steps from the beach, shops, and restaurants. The owners are super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms are spotless and include welcome baskets with treats and toiletries.
The owners/staff were very friendly and gave lots of tips of places to go. The location is great! Close to the beach and to the center of the city. You can do everything walking.
The hotel has a great patio also for pic nic or chilling.
Incredible location. I am so lucky we found this gem of a place. It has a gorgeous beach, beautiful boutique hotel and the manager, Claire was so kind and accommodating. We are a family of 5 and our kids want to come back too!
Probably one of the best pools we’ve ever been in! Small, but modern, very clean and fancy toiletries. They even give you flip flops instead of the traditional slippers which was a good idea for a hotel called ‘The Pool’.
Wonderful staff that made us feel welcome from the first step through the front door. Beautiful pool area. Dinner poolside was outstanding. If you plan to be anywhere near Le Lavandou stay here. You won't be disappointed
This was our second visit to the hotel and we returned because it is such a treat to find a family run traditional hotel, far away from the chain syndrome, with such a wonderful location. Perfect for a restful holiday.
The staff , comfy room and location. They accommodated to our beeds, gave us the info we needed. The hotel is very well located with bars/restaurants just next door. Lovely sea view from our balcony. All superb
The hotel is right on the beach and we had a room with a wonderful sea view. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the food was outstanding. We loved it.
Had a wonderful 5 nights at this hotel. We all loved it. Staff were very helpful, kind and courteous. It was very relaxing and would definitely return again.
The hotel is close to the centre of town and only 200m from the beach . I knew I was going to get there early and Celine had my room ready for me by 10am .
