Offering spectacular views of the Swiss and French Alps, Hôtel Le Grand Chalet is a family-run, historic house from 1896, located 164 feet from the ski slopes in Leysin.

A very traditional Swiss chalet. Lia’s of carácter on the room and all the areas.
Good facilities. Very nice staff. Amazing view from the room. Close to skiing facilities.
The quietly located Les Roulottes des Noisetiers is a 5-minute drive from the center of Leysin. Guests can relax in the hot tub, sauna and steam bath, and sip a drink in the bar.

Located in the upper part of the village of Leysin, the Chamossaire resort benefits from an exceptional southern exposure, providing for lots of sunshine and a panoramic view over the Alps.

A wonderful hotel in the perfect location for skiing in Villars (directly across the street from the train to Bretaye). Great amenities, wonderful breakfast, and incredibly helpful and friendly staff. We stayed in an apartment in the Chalet that was pure luxury! We never wanted to leave. We will stay again.

Nice resort, a bit small, good for beginners, not too busy, cool snow park, relatively affordable (for Swiss standards), almost no drag lifts (in Leysin itself). Unfortunately it was too warm when I was there (February 2020) so the snow was not really good, but other than that it's great for a long weekend.
Leysin is a beautiful mountain village and this property is in a convenient location. It was clean and very suitable for my needs. My arrival was a little confusing at first then I got a message saying where to find the keys and all was well. I did appreciate the owner checking in via messages during my stay. The apartment itself is bright and comfortable. The deck is lovely for morning coffee or an evening drink. The view is excellent. I would be happy to stay here again.
Perfect one night stay for Leysin Toboggan park and our journey to Grindelwald. It was roughly 10 minutes walk to the train stop (with luggage & small kids) and 10 minutes walk to toboggan park. There is a bus stop right outside the accommodation to and from the train stop & toboggan park however we didn't get to try. The rooms were excellent.
It's a very peaceful place with a great view. I like that breakfast is delivered to rooms the evening before. But the coffee machine didn't work (or I couldn't work it), so I had to ride two hours to Gstaad for my wake up coffee!
Bookers should be aware that the closest restaurants are in Leysin a couple of kilometres up the hill.
The host was very accommodating and very friendly and nice! She was very flexible with check-in and out which we appreciated a lot! The apartment was clean and spacious for the amount of people we had (3). The apartment had very good facilities with amenities that we weren’t expecting! - coffee machine, spices, etc
Room was wonderfully rustic and had a tremendous view of the Alps. Outdoor deck was a fantastic bonus with our room. The restaurant in the hotel is first class and a welcomed feature after arriving late from long travels. All staff, hotel and restaurant were friendly and helpful.
(+) extremely responsive and kind host
(+) very close to skiing
(+) Netflix, Disney, cable, etc for relax time
(+) Good wifi
(+) elevator right next to door makes it easy to go up and down with bags
(+) plates, glasses, cutlery were mostly sufficient and in good order
The hotel and room was very good, with excelent balcony view of the Alps, we were amazed! ☺️
Wi-fi was very good. The receptionist from Portugal was amazing, very helpful and kind, and speaks very good English.
The breakfast was delicious!
Hope will come back! 😍
All week was amazing, breakfast was really good, fresh and delicious for sure. :) Room was spacious and cosy. Double bed was very comfortable. Location and view from hotels windows and balcony, was magnificent and unforgettable. :))
I stayed here to attend my son's school event.
The location from the veranda is the best, and most of the things you need are in the room, which is convenient.
I would like to use it again when I come to Leysin.
The apartment is a renovated cellar, albeit with a good window and a bit of a view ( the building is on a steep slope). Leysin and the surrounding area are lovely.
