We cannot say enough amazing things about the Adler Schiltach as well as the owners Alex & Christine. They are so kind and accommodating and really made us feel welcome. Alex helped us get a taxi and book a car when he found out we had issues with our airport car rental, he even offered to drive us to the car rental himself! The breakfast was delicious, we also had dinner one of our nights there and we couldn’t be more glad that we did. Alex is an absolutely amazing chef and dinner was like a 5 star restaurant. The rooms were very large, clean, modern and functional; especially for the very reasonable price! The town of Schiltach was like a storybook, quite and very picturesque; we drove all over the area and it was by far the cutest town we saw. We will be recommending this stay to anybody who is traveling to the Black Forest and we plan to go back soon ourselves!
The Zur alten Brücke is located in Schiltach in the Black Forest Nature Reserve. It offers modern rooms, free Wi-Fi internet access, and a restaurant serving local food.

The owner is super friendly and was accommodating to anything I might need. The room itself was very spacious and the view out of it was beautiful as well.
Serving tasty Baden specialties, this cozy 3-star hotel in Wolfach is surrounded by the Black Forest’s romantic Kirnbachtal valley, near the bicycle routes and hiking trails of the Kinzigtal valley.

Breakfast was great - good selection and presentation. Hotel was very nice and we loved the balcony. Everyone we met was helpful and cheerful. Within walking distance of 3 grocery stores and a number of restaurants. The hotel's restaurant was awesome.
Surrounded by beautiful countryside, with a living tradition and a history spanning centuries, you can find the Bollenhuthotel Kirnbacher Hof in the heart of the Black Forest.
This 3-star guest house in Fohrenbühl provides quiet rooms in the Black Forest Nature Park. It offers a free sauna and a restaurant serving regional and vegetarian food.
We were a bit puzzled by this place. The town is extremely picturesque with beautiful houses and little laneways. It seems the perfect location for cafes and little craft or artshops, but there’s nothing there of that kind and the town felt a bit lifeless to be honest.

We only spent one evening in Schiltach, walking around, visiting the historical museum, and eating at a gourmet restaurant, so I cannot say much about activities. We have a tight schedule, so the time we spent was good for us. But I would have been happy to have another day to enjoy the place and visit more of the museums, which are small but free of charge.

It's a lovely small village without all the oversea tourists. Not a lot in English but everyone was helpful. The use of a Konos card for free public transport for the area was great as we didn't have a car.

Schiltach is a stunningly beautiful and charming little town. From here you can get to Europa-Park, Strasbourg or Baden-Baden within an hour or two on the train, or hike in the black forest. By far, the best thing to do here is the Hirschgrund Zipline. Everyone in this town is extremely friendly and make it a pleasant and relaxing place to visit.

What a lovely find this area was.
What a lovely find this area was. It was the only place we stayed 2 nights on our Europe travels. Fabulous outdoor swimming pool nearby and plenty of other places to visit that we still didn't have time for. We did go to Aquademie at the Hansgrohe (showers and taps) factory in the village. An unusually great free place to visit and test out all those different shower head flows!
The village has still retained its wonderful German character with amazing buildings - just don't tell everyone as we don't want too many tourists to find out! We'll be back!
The hotel is a beautiful, four hundred year old building in a village of that era, with many other restored homes. The setting is one of great natural beauty close to many locations to explore. The room itself was remodeled and updated with modern comforts, large and very clean. There were fresh tulips in a vase! Best yet, we had an outstanding dinner artfully presented in the hotel restaurant downstairs. The owner was warm and accommodating. We couldn't have asked for more!
The Adler is an historic yet recently updated hotel. It is clean, tastefully decorated, and well-cared for. Our room was large, very comfortable and clean. We loved all the windows and the natrual light. The room rate included breakfast which was freshly prepared each morning. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent--the chef is creative and the food was fresh and delicious. The proprietors were friendly, responsive, helpful, and interested in ensuring we had a pleasant stay.
Genuine "Boutique" hotel, 1604 on the outside and 21st century inside. Friendly helpful staff, a family run hotel with a personal touch. Lovely restaurant food, with an interesting menu, one of the best meals we had in 4 weeks of European touring. Breakfast was a simple choice of one from a selection of set dishes, but these were interesting options and different to the normal continental buffet.
Lovely traditional guest house in stunning location overlooking the cobbled market square (which is utterly un-buggy and wheelchair friendly by the way!). The dinner menu was limited, but it was still the best (well, the only, really) option in town. The three burgers we had were fabulous - homemade and absolutely delicious. Schiltach is beautiful - well worth a few hours or an overnight stay.
The owner was extremely welcoming and spoke excellent English. The hotel was right on the Main Street and the room had a great view of the historical center. The room was charming and had adequate space. Breakfast was included and was delicious. Would definitely stay there again if in the area and were sorry we were only able to stay one night.
Beautiful, spacious rural apartment in the Black Forest region where it was easy to relax and unwind. There is a lovely deck with sweeping views. The well stocked kitchenette allowed us to prepare a meal or two in. The bathroom shower was amazing. We walked to Schiltach via forest paths in ~1 hour with options for extended hiking if you please.
The location is really nice - not in the town center, but not too far away from it. Therefore, you don't have a lot of noise from the area. In addition, the facilities inside the property were also very nice. All in all, a very nice place to stay. I would go back if I were to stay in Schiltach.
The hotel is a traditional building with a beautiful half timbered dinning room. For this type of property the rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. The host, Rose was very accomodating and couldn’t have been more helpful with our needs. Free parking beside the hotel was a bonus.
I felt like I was home and had the best food of my life. Staff was very friendly, speak English, and my room was CRISP clean every single morning. Highly unexpected to find service and a room like this in Schiltach. If you're coming here, don't think twice about booking.
A large, comfortable, modern, well-equipped room and an excellent breakfast. The location in the heart of the village is excellent. The hotel has only recently changed ownership but the host was superb and we wish him and his wife well with their new venture.
in a beautiful location overlooking a brook running directly passed the hotel. also, a chance to have a drink at the hotel’s outside garden beside the running water. we were well cared for with good food at dinner and breakfast.
Very spacious and (super!) clean rooms! The staff was very welcoming, friendly and polite during our whole stay. The food was of a very good quality, a lot more than you would expect from a hotel. Beautiful surroundings.
one of the most friendly staff I’ve experienced in the last months. hotel is very clean and offers good food. equipment isn’t very new but well maintained.
