We stayed in a beautifully renovated room in this masseria which really is a little gem in the Apulian countryside setting. The familiar atmosphere and very friendly staff made our two-day stay a pleasure. Dinner alone was an experience with a mystery tasting menu chosen by "il dottore": a seemingly neverending series of delicacies (one better than the next) made with local products that kept appearing on the table. Our only regret is that we stopped after the first first course and jumped straight to Teresa's dessert: who knows what other savory delicacies were waiting for us!
Another thing worth mentioning are the nice paintings that adorn every room of the place, who knows who the artist is?
With Taranto Cathedral reachable in 22 miles, Masseria Colombo offers accommodations, a restaurant, a garden, a terrace, and a bar.

The location is great for people who need to have a break from city life. Big farm with plenty of cows, great fresh diary products for breakfast. Good location for people with a car who want to visit Matera, Alberobello or spend a day on a beach. Last but not least: spending a night in a true trulli house with all the modern conveniences is a truly exceptional experience.

The place looks better than the pictures. It is recently refurbished and everything looks brand new. The bed is absolutely comfy. I haven’t used the kitchen but it looked pretty complete and new too.
The host was very kind and helpful. I absolutely recommend this place.

Mottola is off the beaten track. It's not a tourist town.
Mottola is off the beaten track. It's not a tourist town. It has an attractive setting and views, a nice town square and a small historic area but don't expect Siena or Gallipoli. We went there as a base for exploring the local country and the cave churches (book local tours and guides early). There were lots of locals and good food at the pizzeria La Rotonda di Donvito Addolorata - recommended.
Everything😊!!! The place was impeccably clean and well-equipped with more than the one needs.
Lovely designed, like I woke up in a fairy tale💖! The owners were helpful and friendly.
Mottola is also a sweet little Italian town.I was lucky to have enough time to walk around and explore! I would like to come back once and I am sure I'll book the same place👌!!!

Near your apartment is very nice square with bar and bistro.
The host Niko is the best. He really helped us with everything, when our car got broken. Also, the appartment La dimora di Maria is really nice and very clean, so we highly recommend it. We will definitely come back if we are ever in Mottola again.
