This is a bed and breakfast in the truest sense of the word. We were greeted warmly with coffee and sweets. The room was comfortable and immaculately clean. We chose to pay extra for the addition of dinner, lovingly prepared and served by the host. Everything fresh and locally sourced. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an authentic local experience in the company of one of the loveliest people you will meet during your travels in Sicilia. Breakfast was above and beyond anything you can imagine. We will be back.

As soon as we arrived here in late September, we wished we had booked for a longer stay. We had a room for our family of 3 but there were no cancellations for the following day although we kept checking.
As others have remarked, this is an exquisite place and such a lovely respite which was so welcome after several weeks of traveling. Our room was very comfortable, all in the bathroom worked very well, our breakfast and dinner were delicious. I would really recommend that you stay longer than a single night. It is so worth it.

Quiet contemporary home with lovely grounds. Comfortable, firm beds. The breakfast! Host permitted us to make sandwich for lunch that was very helpful as restaurants sparse where we traveled that day in the spectacular mountains (San Biagio Plantini). You need small car- will be less limiting. Beautiful grounds!

The room was great and a good location for what I I was doing. The room was very comfortable and unique. I had lots of choices close by for eating. Parking was a short distance away, and I opted to pay for the parking to ensure I could leave the car there for two days. Cost was negligible. Excellent room and very helpful host.

The Romana Casale was terrific.
The Romana Casale was terrific. Better than we might have imagined. It is slightly outside of the town.
The town was difficult to navigate--the narrowest streets we have experienced, and you must climb straight up to reach open restaurants, near as we can tell. It is likely different during high season, with more things open.

The city has a particular charm very different from the towns in the Val de Noto we visited and one has a much stronger sense of thousands (!) of years of continual living and history. Make sure to visit the Villa Romana del Casale, fantastic!

Incredible historical area.
Incredible historical area. So many ancient temples in one place with detailed information posted throughout the site. Take a hat, water bottle, sunscreen, and wear comfortable shoes. It is easy to get around though not always on even ground. Easy to park at either entrance, allow at least 2 1/2 to 3 hours. There is also a cafe on site.

Piazza Armerina, the incredible Roman villa and mosaics was a highlight of our 12 days in Sicily. and absolute 'must' but recommend that you see the INCREDIBLE mosaics at opening or near closing time so you are not hemmed in by busloads of people and explanations from Babylon. (I speak many languages, but not all at once!) The town itself was very nice as well. Cute terraces, little park, beautiful historic buildings and little cobblestone streets. Ample (paid, inexpensive) parking everywhere.
(Regarding the B&B: the 2nd 'B' is supposed to refer to 'breakfast'. There was absolutely nothing! Many places in Sicily had a Q-code or such so you could go and have breakfast somewhere. A cute idea if you're not one who needs that 1st coup of coffee at rising, but this should be noted in the description prior to payment!)

Davide was a very helpful host who provided loads of useful information, prepared breakfast for us and provided us with parking right in front of our accommodation. New and spacious accommodation (with lots of envious looks by curious passers-by). Location in the heart of Piazza Armerina, a short walk away from all the sights. Unfortunately we did not have time to use our coupon for a free welcome taste of Sicily at a nearby place.
La Casa Sulla Collina d’Oro is a little rustic and may not be for everyone. But it was perfect for us. Luciano was a wonderful host - charming, attentive and very helpful. The view over the town of Piazza Armerina was lovely. Breakfast included a wide selection and was served around large tables with a beautiful view. The accommodation was well located, close to town and just a short drive to Villa Casale. I can highly recommend.
The view, the hospitality, the room, the breakfast, all were perfect! Room was modern, new and clean, bed and pillows were comfortable-memory foam-, details in the room were well thought. The hotel has the full panoramic view of the old town. Breakfast is super tasty, cucumber salad, omlette, croissants, cherries, coffee, all delicious.. We booked this hotel last minute, it was a great experience.
The hosts were amazing ! They treated us like a family. The villa is located in an excellent location closer to all the nice restaurants and city Center. The parking is inside the villa and has abundance space. The breakfast was home made. I especially loved the homemade Orange and lemon Jam. We had a good chat in the evening and was fun. Overall an excellent choice if you visit Piazza armerina.
Our host, Mateo, was extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. There were some lovely welcoming touches along with a good introduction to the interesting town. Our room was very clean, quiet and comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was amazing, far better than expected. Our host also gave us some good tips for other places to visit on our tour of Sicily.
Lovely building that’s been completely renovated tucked away off the Main Street.Room was well equipped and comfortable.Host was helpful ,welcoming and had a lovely breakfast waiting for us in the morning.Piazza Armerina was a lovely town to spend a couple of days in.
Good location to easily reach both Piazza Armerina and Villa Romana del Casale. The location is nice, despite the main road above (the noise is not a problem in the room). The hosts were all very welcoming and warm, happy to share a moment to talk with you.
Wonderfull place, wonderfull host, lovely breakfast with homemade bread, homemade olives, oliveoil and organic fruits and vegetables. We enjoyed our stay here so much and it was one of our best stay on our trip around Sicily.
Grazie di tutto, Salvatore!
Fabulous breakfast!! Nicky made a beautiful array of food, the best we've had in Sicily. She is a superb hostess and the rooms are beautiful with many special touches. Roberto is also very hospitable. Delightful people, Delightful stay.
The position is fantastic - at the top off the hill next to the Cathedral. Staff very pleasant. The "themed", as opposed to numbered, rooms were a little bit quirky but the better for it. Piazza Armerina itself is an unexpected gem.
Beautiful place, a very nice house, garden, beatiful pool. Perfect place for a holiday!
Rita is a very hospitable and hepful. Breakfast was great! All our wishes were fulfilled.
Little heaven on our way in Sicily. Thank you Rita!
Neat and clean, beautiful surrounding, best place ever to visit Piazza Armerina, la casale romana, Aidone and Morgantina with his breathtaking hellenistic area.
By the way : nearby you will find a supermarket
Charming couple who took very good care of us. Ease of checking in and out. Lovely breakfast with fresh baked lemon cake and homemade fruit jams. Good suggestions of local sights not on any guide books.
The location in the heart of Sicily and it proximity to such important places as the Roman villa and Morgantina. Also Piazza Armerina is a place worth discovering in its own right.noth
Fantastic stay, very friendly hosts. Felt like staying with family. Had the opportunity to have dinner cooked by the host, best meal in Sicily! Excellent breakfast and coffee!
Amazing breakfast, the optional home-cooked dinner was superb and a very good value at 35 euros, location is very convenient for exploring the old part of the city.
Delightful country house with beautiful grounds, every comfort and such friendly and helpful staff it really felt like staying in a family home not a hotel.
