The first time we stayed in Santiago, we booked a very nice hotel, but it was a good 20 min. walk to the cathedral. When we saw the Parador, we remarked that if we ever came back, this is where we would stay. Well, 15 years later we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights here. One could walk around the hotel for days and discover a new nook and cranny. If you plan to eat in the restaurants at night, be sure to make reservations ahead of time. We lucked out the first night as someone had cancelled. The main dining room is expensive, but the food was excellent.
The location in general just can't be beat. Not only the proximity to the cathedral, but one of the main streets loaded with restaurants, shops, etc.

Great hotel with an excellent staff. Julio and the team handed really well the group check-in in the middle of a chaotic rainy afternoon. I was about to ask for help and before that they were taking control of everything.

The location of the hotel is exceptional, really central but at the same time kind of quiet. The room was a bit small, but very cozy. The facilities were really clean. The building is historical, so it inherently has its charm. The staff was friendly and polite. Loved my stay at Entrecercas.

This was an actual hotel with a small reception. The owner was there. He was very kind, joyful, and helpful. He gave us a great recommendation for breakfast. The place was located in the old city which was perfect for our needs. Our room was very clean, especially the newer bathroom. Our beds were comfortable and clean. There were extra blankets which I used because the weather turned cold.
This former convent has been carefully restored to create a luxury hotel near the center of historic Santiago de Compostela. The building’s ancient features now sit next to modern facilities.

Travelers who stayed in Santiago de Compostela near Santiago de Compostela Airport (SCQ) have said good things about Ruta Jacobea, Hotel Bello, and Hotel Amiuka.
The city of Santiago de Compostela is the capital of Galicia and the place where the Apostle St. James is buried. The city’s Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its distinguished old monuments around the Cathedral and the tomb of St. James.
Made of granite, the spectacular Baroque facade of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela features massive bell towers and statues of St. James. The Obradoiro facade of the Cathedral is one of the most exceptional examples of the Spanish Baroque period.
Surrounded by magnificent buildings, the monumental square of Plaza do Obradoiro is one of the most historic squares in the world and the heart of Santiago. You can stay in one of the hotels, guesthouses or apartments Booking.com has near this majestic square.

You don't have to be catholic to appreciate the historical aspect of this charming city. We attended noon mass one day and visited the crypt with the supposed relics of St. Santiago (James) on another day. Loads of restaurants, shops, the usual touristy stuff. There's a little "tourist train" that costs about $12 for 2 seniors -- during the 45 min. ride, a recording in many languages gives you the latest info.

Two day's is enough to see this City and the Cathedral. The Cathedral is free, but and you must pay for the museum and other sights within the complex. Not expensive. Lots of inexpensive restaurants near the Cathedral. Family run and very reasonable. Some very nice parks nearby. Plenty of shops. Very nice city to visit. very helpful people with locations, directions, etc.

The staff were so helpful. My bag was lost and they went above and beyond to find it even though they had not lost it nor were they responsible for its transport. Phone me several times to keep me in the loop. So incredibly kind.
A kettle, tea bags and coffee sachets! Great treat, as the rest of the hotels i had stayed in over my month in Spain had not had any kettles.
Lovely powerful shower and big soft towels.
Fabulous location, with cathedral 10 mins in one direction and great shopping 10 mins the other way.
This is my second time staying at this hotel, and it was a great experience. The rooms are spacious, clean, and quite. The location, in my opinion, is great. Itš about 5 minutes from the train and bus station and about 5-10 minutes from Santiago Old Town. There are cafes, stores, and restaurants nearby. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The last time we stayed at the hotel, we forgot something. The staff contacted us and arranged for the forgotten items to be shipped to our location.
This was a nicely maintained facility with helpful staff and up-to-date, comfortable accommodations. The location was diagonally across the road from a stairway that led directly into old quarter streets and a short (and twisty) walk to the cathedral. We had a car and were able to park it at a public facility a short walk from the location. There was regular traffic on the street, but the neighborhood was quiet and free of the usual late-night loudness of Spain's infamous nightlife.
We spent two luxurious days at this fabulous boutique hotel on the outskirts of Santiago. The room was lovely, the bed super comfy and the staff was very attentive and friendly. We had amazing meals at the hotel restaurant - breakfast, lunch, and dinner! We met the proprietresses of the hotel - she’s delightful and made us feel at home. We really enjoyed walking along the creek pathway and park area adjacent to this property, an unexpected treat!
This apartment was superior in every respect! It was extremely clean, had lovely/very comfortable furniture and was in a great downtown location. Maty was the most awesome property manager who brought us bags of fresh, local food, cheese and pastries. She also answered many questions of ours over the two days with recommendations and local information. By far the best experience from traveling all through Spain and Portugal!!!! 🥰🥰🥰
The hotel was a little removed from the old town but could be walked in 20 minutes through green surroundings. Breakfast is available at the premises or can be obtained at several other places within 5 to 10 minutes walk. But the best thing about the Casa Diocesana is the reception staff and the sisters who clean the rooms. All are friendly and helpful especially Maria in reception who is a shining diamond 💎
This hotel is located a few minutes away from the madness that can be Santiago, and right by the highly underrated Alameda Park. Perfect location. Food and attractions (and a killer view of the Cathedral) just a short walk away yet the hotel itself was quiet. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Would stay here again without hesitation.
Lovely hotel in the perfect location for exploring the old town. Lovely choice at breakfast. Although it doesn't have a car park, the public car park is easy walking distance to the hotel. Would recommend for anyone looking to stay in Santiago de Compostela.
Very central in Santiago. 5 Minutes walk to the old town. Friendly and helpful staff. Good accommodation, bedroom and bathroom. met all our needs and a handy walk to the main bus station to get the bus to Sarria. Airport bus also stops outside the hotel.
The Parador de Santiago is a beautifully preserved building directly across from the Cathedral. The rooms are modern but decorated in a traditional style that captures the feeling of old Spain. The staff and the meals were excellent!
I go every year to Monte do Gozo for disc golf tournaments and this year I decided to stay there because it is just at the course. The location is perfect and the cafeteria makes it the best location in Spain to play disc golf.
Very efficient. We arrived very late, close to midnight and we had all the details of how to access the hotel and our room. The room was so inviting after a long day at work and then a late flight out to Spain.
The property was very close to Santiago center. There was a problem with our original booking so we were upgraded to a room with a balcony. Hotel staff was very apologetic but it was fine!
lovely small boutique hotel in a traditional Santiago building in the old town (at the border but very near the Cathedral). Very helpful, attentive and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
Small, nice and quiet hotel in the old town Santiago. Very close to the cathedral, restaurants, shops and parking. Reliable contact with the reception for help and check in.
Friendly helpful staff, some with great English skills. Easy to find, with inexpensive parking nearby. Beds were very comfy and LOVELY to get a duvet in Spain!!
